The Jon Hoel Trio

Featuring Ben Ferris on bass and Kelby Kryshak on drums, The JHOEL3 is one of Madison's hardest working jazz groups. Playing originals and seldom played standards, the group focuses on exploring the jazz idiom, sometimes pushing the limits and other times staying deep in the pocket.  They have performed at the Catfish River Music Festival, Orton Park Festival, and the Greater Madison Jazz Consortium's Strollin series. They hold a monthly residency at the Alchemy in Madison, appearing the last Wednesday of every month. Currently, the group is working on recording their first album.

Nuggernaut

Instrumental/jazz funk at it's the finest. The group balances a repertoire of original music with an eclectic mix of covers from the likes of Michael Jackson,  Herbie Hancock and Led Zeppelin. Nuggernaut  is comfortable in intense listening concert settings as well nasty dance parties and everything in between. The group has performed in the GMJC's Indigenous series, Schenk's Corners Block Party, and the Catfish River Music Festival.

Better Yeti

Rising from the ashes of The Mustache, Better yeti is a funk co-operative from Madison, WI. Started in 2016, the band features the BBQ boys horn section and fun, tongue in cheek lyrics. While the heavily trained musicians are serious about their music, they're main goal is to start a party and have a good time. Catch the Better Yeti before they catch you!
